How is a pregnancy due date calculated?
Using Naegele's rule: adding 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) and adjusting for cycle length.
How accurate is an estimated due date?
Only around 5% of babies are born on their exact due date; most healthy births occur between weeks 37 and 42.
